When you approach a course, especially in the area of rapid development, efficiency is crucial right from the start. I believe there are three core components to consider when creating a course.
• Design • Content • Audience •
And when you address all three, you’re able to engage and then educate.
As draft outlines begin, it’s important to keep graphic aids and PDF’s at the forefront and to flag notes that will eventually be used for them. By blocking information on a page as you work, when you go map out your graphics later, you can easily find key terms or processes.
Being intentional throughout development allows you to constantly gut-check against your course goals and comprehensions, and also be more prepared when meeting with SME’s.
While a Content Production Manager at InsideTrack, I was able to not only build up their video studio and capabilities but also grow my skills in script writing and content creation in online education utilizing rapid eLearning development practices.
